Inclusive family photography for neurodiverse and disabled (SEND) families across Newcastle, Durham & the North East.
You've researched photographers. You've looked at beautiful galleries. And then you've closed the tab, because you're already running the calculations in your head:
Will they understand when my child can't sit still?
What if we need to stop halfway through?
Will they look frustrated when things don't go to plan?
Can I trust them to see my family the way I do?
I get it. Because I live it too.
As a photographer with lived experience of disability and neurodivergence in my own family, I don't just say I understand—I genuinely do. I know that a successful session isn't about perfect poses. It's about patience, flexibility, and capturing the real, beautiful connections that make your family yours.

Neurodiversity Affirming
Forget stiff poses and forced smiles. My main focus is play and connection. Having learnt from my own kid, my approach is informed by attachment theory and what actually helps families feel relaxed and present together. If the best moment happens when your child is stimming, spinning, or mid-laugh—that's the photo.

Pre-Session Consultations
Before the session, we talk—either over video call or through messages, whatever feels easiest for you. I want to hear about your child: What lights them up? What helps them feel safe? Are there sounds, textures, or situations that feel overwhelming? Do they need movement breaks, or do they prefer to stay in one familiar spot? Maybe they have a comfort item that comes everywhere, or maybe they need time to warm up to new people and places.
03.
NO RUSH NO PRESSURE
Sessions are designed with breathing room. If we need to pause, take breaks, reset, or even reschedule partway through, that's completely okay. The goal is always connection, never pressure. And there is absolutely no charge if we need to recalibrate and reschedule
